Gifted children

Unfortunately history not always fixes the achievements of children prodigies so attentively as in the cases of Bidder or Colbern that were already described on pages of this site. Nevertheless there are a lot of legends and stories about young gifted people that even people of 21st century can't stop admiring their abilities.

The boy Miguel Mantilla that was born in Mexico being two years old could answer the question what the year was if February 4 was Friday. He gave the answer less than in 10 seconds.

George Watson that was born in 1785 was considered to be idiot almost in everything except counting and memory. He didn't know how to read, write but using his mind he did complicated sums and answered any questions without hesitation on the historical dates. If this historical date passed when he was already born he could even say where he was during this day. He also was able to name and describe all churches and bars in the nearest villages.

Some child prodigies show extraordinary skills in all spheres of knowledge. Christian Heineken born in 1921 frightened everybody when he started to talk in several hours from being born. According to people talks he was able to name all main events of the Bible not being even one year old.

John Stewart that is the famous philosopher and economist of 19th century could read in Greek being three years old. A little bit later he could easily understand the works of Plato and Demosthenes. These people developed the world and showed people that the abilities of human mind are extraordinary.
