The essence of genius

Genius is the greatest level of the creative human powers manifestation. The term "genius" is used to determine both the ability to the productive work and the success valuation. And genius unlike talented person shows the highest point of talent and skills where the activity of genius is realized in the certain historical context of the human society life from which genius takes the material for art.

In psychology genius is investigated from the individual characteristic points as well as different factors that influence the art. From psychological point of view genius can't be considered the separate type of personality. Genius people show the definite individual differences from the point of view of talent, character, culture, interests, skills, etc. The proper creative process of genius doesn't particularly differ from the creative work of talented people.

There is also another conception on the genius phenomenon. Sometimes it is considered to be the psychological disorder that however can't find the general proof. Sometimes the problems with the mental health accompany geniuses but is not the inevitable companion of geniuses.

Usually the genius of artists is based on the innate and got skills of the organism unavailable for other representatives of the same sphere of activity. During the modern period the unique quality of genius is considered to be the ability to get, analyze and work up the great amount of information. Besides their great ability is also the ability to tell useful information from the unnecessary one.

Geniuses are usually lonely workers that work alone without help of other people.
